Angry nesting goose

I have a female embden who seems to be the opposite of how people describe embdens. She's always been loud and aggressive but generally doesn't do any harm.

But now that she's laying eggs she's become very aggressive, going after the chickens that aren't even near her nest and grabbing them by the back of the neck. Her eggs aren't fertile so it isn't like I can just wait out them hatching and growing up. I took her eggs once but she laid more. Will continuing to take her eggs eventually break this behavior or is this a seasonal thing that will eventually end?

I was planning on getting another goose this year so she wouldn't be alone but with how aggressive she's being, I'm worried she'll hate that goose as much as the chickens.

Any suggestions?

I am not very experienced with geese, this is just my second year. Possibly try to find a mate for her about her age or older. I had too many male geese and was able to rehome my male Embden to a family that had lost their male and wanted a male for their two females. It worked out well. I just put an message on craigslist in my area for a free male. Both the new owner and I were very happy with the arrangement.

On the other hand, if you bring in a small gosling, your female may or may not accept it. Funny enough that my ganders love have new little goslings to raise, but my female is not too interested.

Hopefully some more experienced goose owners will add their thoughts. The chasing the chickens thing I do not think ever goes away, the chickens just get better at keeping out of the way.
