angry rooster

i have a barn velder rooster who has started to get agressive twoards me. he starts chasing me and then jumps up continueaously, trying to peck me.. he really scares me but i dont want to get rid of him. he never does it to my dad, just me and my sister, who is now terrified of him. any suggestions on how to make him stop doing it?

Chase him down, catch him, and carry him around the yard for a while. Every time he tries to attack you do the same thing- catch him and carry him around. Make him submit to your will. This may get him to stop attacking you all the time. But never run from him and never turn your back on him.

Be aware that nasty roos are likely always going to be nasty, and no amount of working with them will change that. He is still going to attack if he thinks he can get away with it. I would put him in the stew pot, myself. I just got rid of a nasty roo I thought I had rehabilitated. He jumped me a couple weeks ago and tried to rip me apart. He got to be dinner, instead.

I've managed to teach them to not attack me, but other people were always at risk. When they start attacking people around here, they change from singing cock-a-doodle-do to coq-au-vin soon.
