Animal Auction at Shenandoah, IA Oct 19th

Exotic bird and animal auction in SW Iowa - Shenadoah, Iowa - this coming Sunday Oct. 19th. Consignments taken Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning before sale starts at 9 am.

I think there is a $4 fee to enter.

I am taking over some birds to sell including bantam wyandottes, silkies, Large fowl salmon faverolles and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes.

How did the sale go? I wanted to go but ended up working on more pens for my chickens before winter.

Don't know - I wasn't there either. I took some birds over Saturday around noon and I was the first there with birds. Probably not a good thing on my account unless people were hungry to buy.

This spring was their first sale and I guess things sold really well. I was told some older hens were selling for $20-30 each!!

I took over some bantam wyandottes in black, white and dunn and some Standard Faverolles and a cage of Blue laced red dotte standards.

Anybody make it to this sale?

Good to know they have a spring sale as well. I'll definitely have some orps, silkies and quail d'anvers ready to go then.
