Animal Control and City Ordinance Advice Needed PLEASE!!!

Unfortunately, that sort of overbroad ordinance is all to common these days. People hear the word "barnyard" and picture some hayseed standing knee deep in poo. I mean, why is a parrot not a nuisance, but a silky chicken is? These laws make no sense.

This one is stacked against you. The way it is written, you lose. You need to agitate to change the law. Is there anyone you know who is involved in the local government who could give you some guidance on getting a proposed ordinance change up for a vote? If not, you may have to do some research on you part.

It can be hard work, but these laws can be changed.

Yesterday the Lieutenent knocked on my door and told me the board was not going to meet until Sept. 28th and that I had to get the birds out of the city by the end of the week. I've been looking for a secure temporary home for my birds with no luck.

It's not my fault they changed their meeting dates. Right?

I really appreciate everyone's help and support....this forum is great. I really feel like I have some friends out there. Why is it so hard for people to realize that pet chickens are wonderful animals?
