We all know our chickens are gateway drugs, leading to more animals. With all the different kinds of feeds for each type of pets.
I currently have 26 chickens, 2 mallards, 8 goslings, 1 goat with 3kids, 2 bottle kids, and a new livestock puppy. This means I have goat pellets, sweet feed, flock raiser, dog food, bales of hay and alfalfa, a scrap bucket and gallons of milk.
And of course all the critters get into other critters food.
The geese are the biggest piggies eating everyones food, and they even beg and suckle the goats milk bottle! (I had a good laugh, and took it away because I didnt want to get them sick.

My father had a pig that ate the horse hay, and the horse got into the dogfood.

What have your animals got into, ate, and ended up fine or got sick?
Do yall think the goat feed could hurt the geese or chickens?

The chickens have eaten cat food, but as you might expect they were fine. The dog also gets into the catfood. We have solved the problem by putting the cat food on a shelf where only the cat can get at it.

I have a new problem, the storm blew the lid off the goat feed and its soaked, its sunday, the feed store is closed, the goats are hungry and now I am wondering what I CAN feed them? Sweet feed and alfalfa doesn't seem to be calming their appetite. :(

My geese and chickens were accidentally fed goat pellets rather than layer pellets. The pellets were a bit bigger, but it didnt affect them. The pyraneese puppy eats goat pellets, layer pellets, alfalfa hay, eukanuba dog food, but wont touch the dog food my other dogs prefer.

I was wondering about goat feed and donkeys. My neibors donkey is staying with my goats for a week or so, he is a sweet natured donkey and welcomes the company.

Your goats probably like the sweet food so much better than their own low calorie high fiber goat food that the goats are keen to eat some more sweet feed. Sweet feed however will do a job on a goats digestion, don't give them too much and keep the sweet feed storage container well secured.

My chickens stand under the horses when they are having their breakfast. One of the horses has a gap in his teeth and when he throws his head around warning them off, they think he is sharing. One of my goats stays with the chickens and often gets chook food. Wheat can cause colic in horses if they binge on it.
If you read the the analysis on pelletised feed whether it be calf, goat horse or chicken , (with the exception of a few high protein products ) they are all very similar. The size of the pellet can vary though.
