Months ago I put a “wanted” ad for a chicken sitter in my area on a chicken FB page. Someone responded today saying they were new to the group but they were in my area and they “sit chickens”. I found a chicken sitter months ago but I told her I would contact her if I needed a back up. She then told me her husband informed her I was the one they adopted Annie from (see my post from this summer if you didn’t see it). She didn’t realize it when she saw my post and I didn’t recognize her name as I corresponded with her husband. Annie recently passed away but it warmed my heart to see pictures of her looking healthy and she was able to live a “normal life” for 5 months that few factory chickens ever get to enjoy. Here are pics of her before her recent passing!
