Wait just one minute! I don't think that the pic that TERRASCRITTER enterd was a sizzle. It looks like a frizzle! I may be wrong. TERRASCRITTER, can you please show us another pic of your 'sizzle?'

It could have had more frizzle in him instead of the silkies. I have a sizzle, she has black skin but only 4 toes. So you have to consider that too.

Terra's bird looks like a first generation Sizzle to me. With the first cross you will sometimes not see the dark skin or some of the other features.

Keep in mind Sizzles are not a recognized breed. There is no standard. Those of us who have been breeding them for a while are attempting to get them to breed true but that is still not always happening with my 4th generation birds.

Keep in mind there is no breed called a Frizzle, most people think of the frizzled cochin as a frizzle but there are many different breeds that are frizzled. When showing a Frizzled bird is judged against the original breed, Be it Silkie, Cochin, Rock or Rhode Island Red. Sizzles are not recognized and it will be a very long time until they are.
