Hi everyone; I just caught a small male green anole in my NC backyard. He has a weird lump on his back and seems slow, even though it's quite warm. Is he sick/injured? I can't take him to the vet so if he does need help what should I do? I have a nice unused parakeet cage for him if he needs to be kept inside to heal. Thank you all!
Below are some pics because I'm not really an expert with lizard injuries.
Also, what do I feed him? I know that they like a humid cage so they can drink perspiration (once I gave an anole water from a bottlecap which he drank like a dog) but what to feed??

Honestly they do best if left outside in a sunny spot near wherever you found him. It could be an old injury that left him with a crooked spine, plus He’s skinny because he’s probably been in hiding all week with the cooler temperatures. They tend to get skinny this time of year. Less bugs to eat.
Thats what they eat by the way. Smaller bugs like little crickets and flies and such... they don’t eat much at all in the winter. You can give him a few drops of water if you like. I’m sure he’d appreciate that. His skin looks dry -normal also this time of year- he’ll shed his skin and look great in a few weeks as it warms up.
