Anorexic Chicken? Is it possible

Our RIR does not eat much. Her eggs don't have shells on them. What is wrong with her?? She is not at the bottom of the pecking order. We have to force her to eat. She isn't very smart. When we feed her, she has to take a few seconds between gulps, like she has some swallowing problem or something. Is there anything we can do?

I had a bird that stopped eating. She was WAY late in laying (well over 30 weeks) and never did lay. I hand fed her but it didn't work. She died, and I still don't know exactly why (altho I'm pretty sure it ws a reproductive problem). Sorry that's not much help. In retrospect I wish I had taken her to the vet. Then again, I certainly understand folks not running to the vet for all chicken issues!

Well she has been like this for awhile but she is still alive. I just hope that this will be enough to keep her alive for a long time.
