Another 1st Timer

Sorry, didn't see this until today! Congrats on the result, not bad at all. The baby chicks are absolutely adorable! I have gotten my incubator up and running, so I've taken away a few eggs from my broody hen and put in there. She had way too many to cover on her own (9 eggs on a bantam first-time-brooding!). I removed 6 eggs, and 3 appear empty but I'll give them a few more days. They're all in different stages of incubation so I'll have to set up a hatcher to move them into as they pip. All I know is that the first pip will most likely be 7 days from now.

Are you keeping the last two chicks or are they moving to your neighbour as well?
 
I took the last 2 my neighbor also. I was wrong on the breed. I was thinking silver spangled hamburgs. They were juveniles the last time I saw them. Then, add the fact that my mind and memory aint worth a crap. I completely forgot about their mowhawks. Instead of being Hamburgs they are Appenzeller Spitzhaubens.
