Another adding to the flock question with a twist

So I have (8)21 week olds raised from chicks. I want to add a few more for different egg colors next spring. They will be around 4 weeks when I get them and I know that I will need to keep them separate until they are all the same size.
The question is - is it better/easier to add 2 or 4 new birds to this established flock? It seems to me that 4 would be more balanced. But then I've got this chicken addiction thing going on and my perception may be distorted
Any thoughts?

The more you integrate the more any picking on or fighting is spread out. I would definitely go with 4.
