Had another fox attack last night, my stunning cookoo marran cockeral called kev, killed, featherss everywhere, an 1 hen with a badley torn back, which i washed with salt water and sprayed with antiseptic spray, just need it to dry up, if i put salt on it would that dry the wound up? As i dont want flys laying eggs and her getting bad with maggots. Another hen has a broken wing i think, she has a kewi fruit size purple bulge up under her shoulder and i think i can feel the break, shes moving around and eating and her wing is agents her body, should i do anything with it? Or just let it mend as it is? I have put sliding bolts on all bob holes now and bought a night movement camara so hopefully will find out weather it is a fox, badger or neighbours dogs

for the hen with the town back, try rub some antiseptic cream into the wound. If it is not too big use steri-strips to close the wound up. If it is very big try and make a chicken saddle type bandage and put it on her back. Maybe spray the bandage with bug spray before putting it on the prevent flys.

For the hen with the broken wing the only option is to cull, you can't do anything to mend a broken wing and it is cruel to let the bird suffer, so pull its neck as soon as you can
