I got my delivery of Chinese Skullcap root extract yesterday. It says it is dissolvable in hot water but I have my doubts. Has anyone used this yet? What's some good ways to prepare?

Here is what I have:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ditto, not treatable at all. Saving the bird would just be infecting more birds and passing the disease down the line. Cull and bury deep or incinerate.

I'm sorry your flock has taken ill- there are many diseases that mimic Mareks- has the chicken been diagnosed officially?

Take it from someone who studied eastern medicine, in Asia- specifically for birds... Chinese skullcap has antiviral and immune-supportive properties (but so does plaintain and that is likely growing in your sidewalk cracks), but it does not treat or cure Marek’s disease.

At best, skullcap might be used as a supportive herb by making a weak tea (dried root simmered in water, cooled, and added in small amounts to drinking water but the dosing is not reliable -there is far too many variables and can have side effects like liver failure), but it should never be relied on as treatment. Go online to research gate, and there are oodles of studies and explanations of Mereks and how skullcap is ineffective unfortunately.
