Another broody! And this one is a goal setter.

    Well... For the 3rd time in a month and a half I have another broody. The first was one of my TSC pullets who opted to sit on some fertilized eggs from my free rangers. My second was one of the free rangers who was content to sit on 13 eggs of which only 5 hatched (one chick died).

    The latest is sitting on 24 eggs!!! She got off the nest to grab a bite this morning and my MIL counted them. 24 eggs!!! Luckily she is on some excelsior that my FIL put outside to encourage them to lay in one spot so she will have some insulation between her and the ground.

    I really need to get these hens into a closed run so I can keep an eye on them lol...

    I would candle and then throw out those that are not developing.
