another broody one...

I have got another young quail that want to be mummy. Hopefully this time it will be successful.

The female is the brown and white quail is the male. He stays with her beside the nest that she made herself from leave litter. I have seen him sitting on the eggs as well when she goes off feeding and doing other stuff...

Today is day 2 so we will have to sit back and see how it goes. Another 15 days to go...stay tuned...

How big is the area they have and how many quail are concentrated in there?

Welll it seems like she is more interested in sun bathing and dusting bathing than sitting for countless hours on her eggs. I think she has given up totally on the eggs as I haven't seen her back on the nest and the eggs are scattered.
