Hi my name is Kariny and this is my flock (only missing one of the bantams). I spent most of my childhood raising chickens but never as their primary caretakers. Now that I'm an adult and I have a place of my own I'm able to raise some chickens with my husband, and sweet daughter.
We have 6 chickens at the moment. 2 Golden Laced Wyandottes "females", 2 Light Brahmas "females" and 2 OEGB unsexed. I've never raised any of these breeds so it's been such an exciting journey so far. They're such beautiful fluff balls.
I've always had multiple kinds of animals growing up, taking care of them and spending time with them are therapeutic to me. I love it! And now that I've gotten my husband and daughter in to this passion of mine it's great seeing how much joy they get from caring for them and watching them grow.
I also enjoy gardening, painting, cooking and dancing. Those are my favorites!
I'm so glad I searched Google for info on chickens...because I was able to find this wonderful community who shares the passion and love for chickens with new and experienced owners. I'm here to learn more about these feathered dinosaurs and to share the little bit I already know if someone needs it. :frow
