OK, this is ridiculous. NONE of my other breeds are being affected by whatever is killing off my buckeyes one at a time. I've got a dozen or dozen and a half other month old layer chicks, plus however many buckeyes are left, plus three cornish cross, all the same age. I've got two older layers and about 46 two month old freedom rangers. The ONLY mystery deaths have been buckeyes.
I have seen a *tiny* amount of diarrhea, but there was no blood in it.
I have not seen any signs of illness -- all of the birds are active and healthy looking to me.
I will be contacting Meyer (where I bought them) Monday to ask if they have any ideas.
