I went into TSC today and they have 4 & 5 week old bunnies for sale!
None of them looked very healthy or active. I think 4 weeks is too young to be sold, much less fully weaned.

Plus the chicks looked too hot and lifeless. They couldnt get out from under the heat.

that is awful! they shouldn't be sold until they are 8 weeks.

another reason why I don't like TSC and other "farm and home" stores.

I much prefer actual feed stores. They actually know about animals.

My rabbits dry up completely at 5 weeks. I usually leave the bunnies in for another few weeks till it starts getting cramped though. I also don't sell till they are 8weeks old either.

That is messed up. They shouldn't be kept in those conditions.

Thats what I do here.. gives the doe a week or two to rest up before the next liter is born.

4-5 week old bunnies are scared of their shadow and don't move around much though.
