It’s the hardest part for me! This is the first time I’ve hatched at home - it’s a bit easier when I do it in my classroom because once I’m gone, I’m not driving 45 minutes back just to take a peek!

At home, I’ve put the bator in the closet under my stairs.. it helps, a little bit, as it’s out of sight out of mind in theory… but I’m in there a lot making sure everything’s still working! I’m looking forward to candling in there - it’s very difficult to make it truly dark in my classroom - but the closet is almost pitch black once the door is shut, so hopefully I’ll be able to get some nice pictures!
