Yes you were! I am glad you were right. They are noisy when they reach laying age. And their combs and wattles are all magnificent. So fun to watch the changes.

They lay like crazy.
During the warm part of the year I was getting 6 or 7 eggs a week from each when I had them.

Yes! Our first one gave us one a day for the first three days and they were all perfect!!!
