I've been an ambulance driver - I like a grim humor. Better to laugh.

ahhhh but walkwithdog...we are not "ambulance...DRIVERS"....you should know that...the general public calls us that...we are 'MEDICS'...we go to school and continue as long as we are medics...we dont just drive...we fix them up...as best as we can at times, other times ....we loose lives...big time difference than the general pop. calls us....

of I should say thinks of us...

I always hear so who drives the ambulance?

Well I didn't hit paramedic level so I just say I drove. I still wish I'd gone on but I went into the military instead.

Besides enough people are clueless about EMTs, I figured it's simpler. After all I did drive the "amblance." chuckle

gotcha you....sometimes and you know this...we get the "wanna be's"....and they going around saying just like the general public...I work on an ambulance...

me and my DH went all the way...I love it...miss it right now, am out on medical and have been since April...will be longer...take care. and btw I have two children in the military...daug. 20yrs old, out of Ft. Leonardwood...and Son 28yrs old been in 11yrs, hitting another tour in Iraq, his 3rd...november...Fort Riley.

My brother is a fire paramedic and does search and rescue, though he "graduated" to Engineer now so he just "drives a fire truck." John Q Public leaves much to be desired. What people don't appear to know fills some very big spaces...
