This one is my mom's bird. She's put bacitracin around the eye and tried to push out the crud. She's says "it's gross".

What are recommendations to clean it more thoroughly and heal?

Does she have a bad odor? Has she seen any respiratory disease, such as coryza in the flock in the past? I would use a warm wet compress on the eye for about 15 minutes to get it moistened and warm. Then have an assistant wrap her in a towel like a burrito to work on getting the pus out. You will need QTips, maybe tweezers or a manicure instrument, saline and a syringe to flush out the eye, and gauze or cotton pads. Flush out the eye with saline. Apply some plain antibiotic ointment into the eye. It may take a few attempts over a couple of days to get it all out. Saline can be purchased at your pharmacy, or you can make it at home. Add 2 tsp of salt to 1 quart or liter of water, bring to a boil, simmer for 15 minutes on low, and cool before placing in a clean jar.

It does have an odor, according to my mom.

No known respiratory diseases in flock. She's the only one like this.

It is hard to know if it is from a respiratory disease or a peck or dirt in the eye that has caused infection. After you get the eye cleaned out where you can get a good look at the eye, take a picture and let us know if the eye is intact. If you see any sneeze or cough, or thick drainage from the nostrils or beak, then a sulfa antibiotic may be necessary.

I couldn't get the crud out of that deep crevasse; tried a q-tip and tweezers. We decided to give her break. There was some clear thick drainage from the nostril on the same side as the affected eye after the 15 minute soak.

She still has her eyeball, though!

I'll be back at my parent's on Saturday, so we'll see about doing more then. I'm the meantime (unless otherwise stated) our plan was for my mom to pack the eye with antibiotic twice a day and keep her isolated to allow healing.

Would it be a good idea to pack a warm saline soaked haze gauze into the opening to try to loosen the remaining exudate? Or will antibiotic ointment do that for us?
