My name is PrinceIonia for all intents and purposes. I used to play Hockey, and I help my mom and dad in raising chickens. I don't like to share too many personal details online. Sorry.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Around 2011. We've had two sets of chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 14 chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Buckeyes (5), Columbia Rock (2), Cuckoo Marans (3), Sussex (1), Silver Wyandotte (1, possibly the alpha hen), Golden Buff (1), and finally an Australorp (1, remaining from the previous set so it's extremely old).
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They're cute, eggs are healthy and nice. If things in our world turn for the worse it's nice to have chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Basically, whenever I searched for medical issues for chickens your forum appeared most of the time on the search engine.
