Another leg band question

I like the plastic spirals, but nothing is perfect, The birds will get a toe in them and either break them or pull them off.

I use the ones you are asking about because they meet the standard requirements for NPIP. They are numbered, supposedly non-removable, and can be bought in different colors and sizes. They too are not perfect, I find many of them on the ground. You really have to be paying attention when setting the band.

I have used the plastic spirals, but once they get dirty its impossible to tell what colour it is from any distance - i won't be bothering in the future as wiping clean the bands almost every day is not something that is high on my priority list.

Kingbee,
Who do you order them from and have you had an issue with them being to short to reach around males legs? Could you measure an unused one for me please.

Thanks,

Gerald Barker

Has anyone used this style of leg bands on peas? If so, do you have a review?

Thank you,

Gerald Barker

I sometimes use number bands. They can expand but not shrink. I use turkey bands. Unfortunately they can come off easily if they catch their toe on it and push.
