Good morning everyone!
I just got 4 hatchlings, purportedly Marans-Ameraucana mixes. My only experience is with Black Marans. I really liked the orange blaze on this one, and s/he has feathered yellow legs. I hate to think it's a roo. Since I took these pix yesterday a nice little peach comb has developed.
So. Any guesses as to what breeds are in the woodpile?
Thanks!

I'm not sure there is ameraucana / Easter egger in this one...usually when that is in the mix the chicks have very fluffy cheeks and sometimes beards. But I could be wrong, that's just from my experience. Also ameraucanas / Easter eggers usually have pea combs and I've heard those are pretty dominant, and this chick has a single comb. But again Im not 100% sure of what this chick is. :/

I have no experience with marans. But I have had ameraucanas / Easter eggers.

Does this chick have feathering on its feet? The 2nd pic almost looks like it does.

Dur....sorry missed that part about the yellow foot feathering!

Ah I think I know what this is!!!! It looks like it could 'possibly' be a golden laced cochin, with not so good foot feathering. I was thinking about it and I have a younger bantam golden laced cochin chick that looks a lot like this but with just a tiny bit more yellow/white on the wings...but it's still in the fuzz stage. So that's my guess lol! ;)
