Another new chicken lover!

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha, everyone can call me Sam, Samantha or Sammi; I really don't mind which one.

I am a huge fan of chickens, and an overall avid bird lover. I have a small flock; consisting of two cockatiels, two zebra finches, and my four lovely chickens (and thinking of getting more in the near future). Looking forward to getting to know you all!

WOW! 45 chickens? I wish I had more property... then I'd own more. I'm thinking about adding a bantam of some sort to my flock, but I'm sticking to my laying hens for now. I'm thinking maybe a Japanese bantam, a polish, silkie, or even a rosecomb hen. They're all so beautiful, how do I decide?

I think your flock of 4 is just the right size. They can be great pets in small flocks....sit in your lap, etc. You will also not have an excess of eggs to get rid of. Enjoy your flock. They can be so much fun and

Yes, I do like the size of my flock the way it is (for now). You're right; they do make awesome lap dogs, they're much quieter too

I love how they follow me around the yard, how they perch up on my arm, and how quiet they are. They're fantastic little girls.
