Another new chicken person

Hello all!

Ever since I bought my farm (3 acres) last summer I've been wanting to raise chickens! For Christmas I got a lovely coop (which has since been expanded on as I wanted my girls to have more room to run around) and three chicks. My chicks are now about 2 1/2 months old and they're all hens, yay! I've got 2 Rhode Island Reds and 1 Barred Rock.

Anyways, I've been lurking here for months and figured I should just go ahead and make an account :) Thanks for all the great info I've received so far! :D

Welcome! You're so much smarter than I am! You got the coop, expanded it, and are ready for your girls to go outside. I let my enthusiasm over the cute chickies override my practicality in housing them......I now have 18 2 week old chicks in my hubby's office and the closest I've gotten to a coop is the picture we drew on paper! <sigh> Welcome!!
