I'm so excited to be on this site. I've learned so much already from all of your wonderful people!
My fabulous husband and I are working toward self sufficiency so of course, chickens are part of the plan. We got 8 sexed Buff Orpington chicks. We were told they are only 90% correct so we're keeping our fingers crossed for a rooster. They all seem to be facing off and flying at each other so I hope that's normal behavior and we didn't get all roos! Anyway, we're both completely smitten. We spend hours in the "Poultry Palace" with our little girls. (My husband did a remodel on someone's house and got a little chandelier which proudly hangs in the coup!) They love to eat from our hands and roost on our arms! It's great!!
Thanks again for all of your help! I'm looking forward to a long and delightful relationship with all my fellow chicken lovers!

My orpingtons all did this when they were chicks too.
