Hi everyone, I've been reading the articles and forums for a couple months trying to learn as much as I can. Finally have chicks so it's time to join! We ordered chicks from a hatchery over winter, they finally came a month ago but unfortunately passed in transit. So on to plan B, find a close enough person selling fertilized eggs and hatch our own. They're hatching early so I'm guessing the temp was too warm. Today is day 21 and so far we've got 9 chicks with a 10th pipped! Also for chicken math, we originally ordered 3 chicks. The hatchery sent 4. We thought 4 would've been a nice number, so hatching chicks our first time half would be roosters and a few may not hatch so we'll get 12 eggs. We didn't account for the egg seller's generosity and got 20
