My husband and I are in middle Georgia, and have about 130 chickens:
5 hatched Mar '08 that survived a slaughter in May (neighbor's kid and dogs got 42),
~30 hatched in May,
~90 hatched in Aug...
and the first batch of home-hatched bitties: 1 hatched 13 Jan, and 5 siblings hatched 14 Jan. We're not sure about the 5 remaining eggs--well, I just pulled them out from under mamma, and one had started pipping.
