Another newbie from Southern NH

I just brought six 5 week old Barred Rocks at the Milford Tractor Supply Chicken swap last Saturday. The seller said they were girls - I hope he's right! I have been saying I wanted to get some chickens for years & just went to look............

Now we have them housed in the shed that had been build for the geese I used to keep, which we were currently using as a tool shed. I was planning to let them free range when they are older, but now I'm thinking of trying to build a chicken tractor for summer use instead.

We have at least 2 hawks that I see here all the time, so mine will be contained most of the time.
