Hello everyone @ BYC!!
I've been checking out all the posts on BYC and finally got up the nerve to introduce myself.
I live in North Texas and have wanted chickens for about 15 years now and finally have the man to fulfill that dream. We have built our coop and run (some ideas from his past experience) and some from this site. At this time we have 11 chickens, 2 barred-rocks that are laying, 4 sex-links laying, 2 small br , 1 small rir, and 2 sweet silkies. I want to add about 4 more hens and can't decide what to get. I was thinking ee's for the colored eggs, and I like the looks of the brahmas, favorolles, and wyandottes. Anyone with experience with these breeds, I sure would appreciate your input. My coop is 8x10 and run is 10x20, so I should be able to add a few more to the flock, plus we're already plannin on expanding the run. Thanks,
