They sound like wonderful birds. Delawares are close behind, too!

I also had a few more questions (of many) concerning harmful plants/seed our chickens might get into. We plan on eating and selling any excess eggs we get, and I was wondering if they managed to ingest something toxic, would that also get passed on to the eggs? I know some foods leave an "aftertaste" (like fish) but I wasn't sure if eggs can actually become dangerous/inedible if the chickens find something particularly bad to munch on. We originally planned on letting them free-range, but I don't know if that's possible anymore in our yard.
