I'm Desiree, and a new chicken owner in central IL. Going to try and raise some healthy and happy backyard chickens.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. What breeds do you plan to get?

I have 5, 3 month olds. Not sure of the breed

. But got them at big r. They told me they should be good egg layers and meat birds. Bought a small temp. Coop, and in the process of building a bigger coop. A little overwhelming. Lol. But hopefully I'll find a lot of info in BYC to help me out
