Another novice needs help with breed & gender ID...

Looks like he/she has a little crest of some sort maybe a silkie mix / I dont think the silkies were her/his parents because its skins is so light but maybe its parents were silkie crosses ??

every one i looked at looked like a boy except for one. Breeds? Myabe rhode island red or wellsummer mixed? really hard to tell.

Thanks everyone. The boys will live a happy life on my sisters large property (no roosters allowed where i live), and the three girls that remain will need three new friends! I think 6 hens will give us enough eggs for the family as well as some to share.

Daisy (might change that name to Davey!) has feathered legs, and the pea comb and funky hair-do made me think he wasn't what i originally guessed - a white leghorn.

Oh well, they are all a joy to take care of, and are great with the kids, sitting on their shoulders, having a cuddle etc.
