Good morning crazy chicken folks. What? Almost noon? yeah, I slept in. yay me. That only means I had about a half a bag of cheerios to pick up off the couch from yon youngins helpin themselves. oh well...chicken scraps.


Whispering winds...I'm wondering how it's gorgeous in midstate when I've got a chilly breeze and downcast skies, not a hint of sunbeam in sight? They said it's gonna rain. So I had my bedroom windows open and I snuggled under the cozy covers with that cool breeze or was that the "whispering winds" blowing in. aaaah serenity.

bzzzzz....bzzzzzzzzz...bzzzzzzzz what's that you say? oh my 3 year old dd on my bed playing with the chicken timer, obviously a sure sign to rouse mama. But mama does good laying there enjoying the breeze, the birds songs from the window, the happy tunes of my children.

Hey PC! Where's my coffee?? Sure does sound good right about now. Have a fine day buddy.

So far this morning I've read yesterday's & today's papers out in the back yard. My buff orp & australorp hopped onto my lap for a nap. Sweeties!!! They also helped me eat my strawberries.

OK, I'm going to do some shameless name-dropping here. I'm going to a Mariner's game this afternoon but BEFOREHAND some of my classmates from a program I did last year. One of our classmates is Edgar Martinez!! I'm having a pre-Mariners game beer with Edgar Martinez!!!

How rockin' cool is that?!?!?

It's been a great morning so far.

Went with Son #1 for a four mile hike up in the mountain preserve this morning... saw one of my dentist friends up there with a couple of his neighbors and we had a good chat.

Came home, fed and watered all the chickens, swept and mopped the coop. Mowed portions of the back lawn, watered lawn, cleaned pool and watched George of Jungle 2 with my little girl.

Great day so far!
