Another Roo or Hen case

Hi All,

We are new to raising chickens, this one sold to us as pullet. Struts around & humps our other hens. Doesn't crow but not laying. She is 1 of 10 hens (we think).

Buff Orpington, I'm guessing? Sure does look like our BO rooster. Who was also supposed to be a hen.

Yes, he/she is a BO. The comb just gets bigger every day. Also only mounts the egg laying hens.

Well i guess thats that. Thanks for the replies! I wanted a Rooster but my wife did not. She picked the 2 BO pullets so I can't be blamed... Roosters are legal where we live and (so far) he is quiet.

I have to say I love the sound of a rooster...call me crazy!
