Hi!

We hatched 5 chicks and I have the daunting feeling that I have 4 Roos. Any opinions on what I’m dealing with here? I have 3 almost 7 week old Easter Eggers and 2 buffs. 1 of which I’m fairly certain is a pullet, going by the comb and the fact that she’s not play fighting at all. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

That one and the one in the 5th picture look like possible cockerels to me. I'm not sure on any of them though, it's still early. Very pretty chicks!
Even the black and white in the first picture (middle) with
The red comb? That one is super feisty and goes after me and I’ve seen it go after a grown hen (and the quickly retreating after they turned around).

Thank you! Yeah I think so too... which is too bad, because I was going to give 3 away to a friend but if they are roosters they will end up in her fridge. Now I need to fond new homes for them since I can’t have 4 roosters...

It's a bit early but I think the black and white one in the first and second pictures looks like a cockerel. I think one of the buff ones might be a cockerel, judging by the size of its legs and comb. The one in the 5th picture could be a cockerel as well. I think things will be more clear in a week or two.

The one on the left? It’s funny, that was the one that was the smallest to begin with but the comb and the legs are making me think he’s a he as well how about the light grey one in the last two pictures ? Any guesses?

That one is tough-- the comb is small, but there is a little bit of pink coloring creeping in, and it is early for that. So I'm nowhere near being sure, but my hunch is that it is a cockerel. I would give it a chance to prove me wrong, though.

Yes, the one on the left. It's mainly the thickness of legs that is giving me the impression that it is a cockerel. But it could easily turn out to be a pullet. Hopefully they will show their true colors soon.
