Just curious...I have heard that Girls start to feather out sooner but roos get their tail feathers sooner...no idea if true or not...I have three Polish. 1. Buff Laced 2. Blue (which I think will be splash) and 3.Golden laced..... Now I am not obsessing or anything..

but although their wing feathers all about the same...the blue girl is starting to get pin feathers on her behind.... Now she is only two days old..but just wondering... could that be an early sign of roohood...?????lol

most heritage breeds get tail and wing feathers sooner on hens and roos are shorter tail and wings at about 2-3 weeks of age..then start to catchup at 4 weeks
