Recently like within a month one hen got ill not eating runny poop lethargic so treated the entire flock for coccidosis. Complete 5 day round of treatment. Then last week one hen dumped a large ball of worms in her poop. So dewormer the flock a week ago. Now I have an unknown age black astro who didn't roost last night I found her outside the coop with a large puddle of yellow poop. She has a squishy crop when I picked her up she vomited watery stuff. Won't eat. But is walking around I felt her abdomin no feelings of eggs vent is clear no smell from head face or mouth. Looked in mouth everything looks good. Any suggestions is appreciated. Also eyes and nose clear no mites or lice. Breathing is good also not acting herself moving slowly

If her crop is squishy, she may have sour crop. I'd give her some yogurt, and isolate her from the other birds. Some electrolytes and probiotics wouldn't hurt, either. Try to get her to eat by offering her scrambled eggs or moistened chicken feed.

Wazine only treats roundworms in chickens. Chickens can get lots of other worms, though roundworms are the most common. If possible, I'd get a broad spectrum dewormer like Valbazen or Safeguard.

one thing I do is use diatomatious (sp) earth on the chicken feed - it helps keep internal paracites gone and also helps with odor if kept in small area - 25 pound bag at TSC about $13-$15
also can dust in it for mites and other external bugs

I give my chickens yougert once a week as is. Also acv in water. I use de everywhere in the coop even food. My tsc is in serious need of restocking for everything. I have checked for both valbazen and safeguard both are sold out

When I treated for coccidosis they had one pack or corrid. Now almost a month later still don't have any. I need a new feed store
One pack? I'm not sure I'm understanding. I wouldn't think you'd go through a whole bottle or package of powder in one 5 day treatment. How were you measuring it and did you make it up fresh every day? The dose is important as well as making it fresh every day for it to be effective.

As for deworming...definitely need to deworm them with something effective and make sure you retreat in 10 days. Dewormers do not kill worm eggs so you need to do a second treatment to clean up what hatched in the interval.

no no no i am sorry i wasn't very clear on that. i still have half a pack left i was using that as an example of how long they go without supplies at that store. i guess i was just ranting.
