Back in march I got some pullets, they were just starting to lay really well and some pit bulls got in my pen and killed them all, tore up the pen, etc (grrrrr). So I grabbed two more barred rocks and a buff Orpington from the same people I got the pullets from(which I believe was the same run of chicks even). The day I got them they layed an egg and the next day I got two eggs. That was it. Now I've had them a week and I haven't gotten a single egg since!
Is it possible the change in location, diet, etc caused them to stress out and stop laying? Is that common? How long should it take for them to get comfortable and start laying again? Is there anything I can do or just wait?
I'm running out of eggs.
