After our first rains this week, I discovered the bedding got a little wet in the boxes... I need to fix the leak. I use pine shavings so I pulled all the old stuff out, left one box empty so it dries better ( close to 80 here today so it should dry) before adding more, and refilled the box I find eggs in. Will fresh bedding deter dear Emilio from brooding?

If they are serious about it - no. If they are on the verge and thinking about being serious - maybe, but maybe not. Brooding is a hormonal change, but some hens do seem to be more easily discouraged, though it hasn't happened to me.
