I also had two, now one cat that does not bother the chickens, but watches them.
Recently, about three weeks ago a hawk flew into the run through the open door while I was home and one of my Dominiquers got attacked. It looks as though I got there just in time before she was eaten or carried off. She was alive and in shock for 24 hours. She had bloody spots on her crest and a limp with her left leg. I found her in the run laying on her left side too. She was unbalanced for a week. I got the hawk out and from then on had some netting hanging low to allow the chickens entrance and exit. For a while some of the chickens were very scared.
