Ok y’all…here’s another one of my chicks from TSC. She was labeled a Speckled Sussex, but she doesn’t look like the ones I’ve seen. What breed do you think she is? She is 12-13 weeks old.

My app says Altsterier or Welsummer. And a few others.

We love Welsummers. They are great forgers and lay pretty spotted terracotta eggs. Hardy girls.

It is really common to get Easter Eggers that look like that! This hen just doesn’t have as many features pointing to Easter Egger as it is pointing to Welsummer.
