Another " what breed of duck" post

The bills are a yellow/orange and the legs and feet are for sure orange. They just moved into their pen this past weekend and since are walking more horizontal and less vertical. So pretty sure not Runner's. The smaller one walks a bit more upright so may have some Runner in her. And for sure she's female, she honks at EVERYTHING, me, the dog, the chickens, other birds, the hose, their pool and even the crop dusters at 5 in the morning. I'd be annoyed if she wasn't so funny lifting upright and running around the pen.

Sounds adorable. When they first get their voice they sure do like to use it. lol

Yes those teenager days! - My wife got so annoyed when our Spring Ducks were about 7 weeks old that she asked me to sell them all because they were so loud. Just after 10 days they started to become quieter and quieter and now they are quiet as long as no "humon" is outside.

I don’t doubt that but was wondering what the name of this specific meat duck I like to read up on different breeds. Especially ones I never heard of.

Some of the "Canadian" duck breeds are just renamed breeds that we already know, The "Golden 300 Hybrid" for example is called "Golden Cascade" and the "Crested White" is called "Bali". Just different names for the same breed. Ever heart of a "Pomeranian" duck? - That's what Swedish ducks are called in some parts of Poland and Germany…

So the "Golden Cascade" is not the same as the "Golden 300 Hybrid" even though they look very, very similar.
And finally i figured out what the »Magpie« ducks @Magnolia Ducks and i received from IdealPoultry this year: Those look like »Shetland Ducks«, just search for Shetland on the website above.

Yes, I have one hen and she definitely differs in multiple areas from these birds.

Thank God for early school release. These are the pics I got. Bills are a goldenrod color for sure... Not orange!!!!

Base on this picture they look like Pekins, definitely not white layers IMO.
