2 pullets total 4 cockerels total.... pullets lay eggs i guess i will separate whe weather is right dont want the poor guys to get chilled... and im feeding laying pellets and scratch
Pullets do not lay eggs. Hens lay eggs. Pullets are female chickens that are not of egg laying age. Hens are female chickens that have started laying eggs. Roosters are male chickens.
Just to clarify a couple terms.
Correction a pullet is a female that is less than one year old... and pullets will begin to lay as early as 5 - 7 months..... but my initial post said clearly that the guy i bought these from. his pullets are laying like crazy...( his pullets are the sisters of mine therefore) its not a matter of being male or female i know the difference... the question is why are his laying and mine arent when they are the same age..... which brings up the good answers of how long has she had to accomodate herself to her new environment... or what am i feeding her... not "a pullet is female and roosters dont layeggs" sorry for the snappiness but seriously :0)

Repeating seriously , to many roosters for the number of hens .
