My hen is bald on the top of her head, above one eye and around the comb. I think the rooster started it by pulling some head feathers during mating, and the other chickens saw a bald spot and decided to keep picking it.

Is there anything I can put on her to protect her head? It is around her face and eye so I don't want anything that could sting or hurt her eyes.

Can you place her in a dog crate with food and water, and keep it with the other chickens? For now you could put some plain antibiotic ointment on it, but remove her from them so they don’t hurt her.

I’m looking at the pinless peepers for my aggressive gals. I’m hoping someone here has some experience with them? I can’t imagine they would be easy to put in??

I have a crate but there is a broody in there right now. There are three other broody's right now and everyone is moody and pecky. I will try to figure out a place for her. maybe inside the house. She is not bleeding, just bald.

I would make sure they are getting outside to roam around, have enough room so they are not overcrowded, and are getting a little extra protein in the diet. Try some Nustock cream on her bare head or a sticky ointment that others might find offensive.
