Is it just me, or are the instructions on animal antibiotics just clear as mud? I'm a nurse and I have to mix meds regularly, but I have no idea what to do with this.

I have Terramycin Soluble Powder. The packet contains 10 grams of the antibiotic, in 6.4 oz. The dosage says 400-800mg/gal. Does anyone know how much powder to mix with how much water? I don't want to do the whole packet at once, as the instructions say to mix it fresh. Help!

6.4 oz is about 181.4 grams, but only 10 grams are active ingredient..mix 1 heaping tablespoon full with 8oz of cranberry juice and 1 gallon of water(cranberry juice is for better absorption) 1 1/2 tablespoon if not using cranberry juice...What are you treating for?

Hi SillyandSalty - I know that you are new to this site - welcome - but thought I would add a bit of advice - keep your thread under one topic so others can follow it and help. Right now you have three different ones going about the same problem (sick chicken) and you aren't getting the help you would if you would post one and title it something like "HELP, sick chicken". DLUnicorn is the resident expert on here and I'm sure would have offered advice by now but your titles aren't specific and you keep opening new threads. Hang in there - others will help. Welcome to the best forum and place for advice on chickens.
