Antibiotics!!

please specify your question for those who come over to help..
Do you have an emergency now? What kind of emergency?
If not, where do you need antibiotics for? Different causes can have different cures :)

Hi sorry for not specifying my questions I have a silkie which I believe has one eye cold it can’t not stand and very weak and it’s eyes are not shut yet but are beginning to close and fluid around here eyes and she is breathing really quickly ! Any help would be appreciated thanks

Do you see bubbles in the eye? Is there any sneezing or congestion? Tylosin, available at the link below, can be given in the water to treat only sick birds for respiratory diseases caused by MG.

Dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 5 days.

In the meantime take a warm damp wash cloth and clean the eye. Saline can be used to flush the eye, and then Terramycin eye ointment (from a feedstore) or plain Neosporin can be put in the eye twice a day for pinkeye (conjunctivitis.)

You are welcome, and let us know if the chicken gets better. Make sure the silkie is drinking well, or you may need to give some in a syringe.
