Medication/antibiotics

There's not much you can do about a tumor, but a bacterial infection could be treated with an antibiotic. It's been my experience that the best way to treat a bad bacterial infection is with enrofloxacin, but that is banned for use in poultry, though many people still use it, myself included.

Amoxicillin is an okay antibiotic, but I prefer enrofloxacin.

Here is an AI comparison:

Yes, that's not normal. Can you keep her inside? Do you know how to tube feed?
She is currently inside. Unsure what tube feeding is. What do you think is wrong with her? Also should I isolate from other chickens

If she is moulting its possible she eats other things than normal and has strange poop. The comb shrinks but shouldn’t get purple.
The purple comb is a concern. It could be bc of a heart problem. So far I dont read something that indicates a bacterial infection.

Never give antibiotics unless you know what the problem is. You might make things worse if you give the wrong medicine’s. Chickens often heal with rest and good (mainly chick) feed.

Please add a few photos of her head.

Does it say what the main causes for the increase of resistance are?
I read a similar article in the Netherlands where they mention the agricultural sector (livestock) to be the most threatening cause.

In the Netherlands the health department has done a lot to prevent antibiotic subscriptions for virus infections and buying antibiotics in the shop or online is strictly forbidden. For livestock, pets and humans!

Vet subscriptions for livestock decreased a lot, bc of the impact with resistant bacteria in patients.. The pet vets don’t seem to bother much as it's a large part of their income ($£€) and there's less risk of an inspection.

The infected patients need quarantining and special treatment (separation, doctors and nurses in moon-suits) .
All farmers with livestock are tested when they arrive in the hospital for serious illnesses or surgery.
